Offshore Construction & Installation Insurance is a specialized insurance program designed for offshore oil & gas field development projects. It provides comprehensive coverage for project assets and contractual liabilities of investors and oil & gas contractors during the construction and installation phase.
This policy plays a vital role in helping project owners and contractors manage and mitigate risks, ensuring operational continuity and strict compliance with the Petroleum Law of Vietnam throughout the offshore development lifecycle.
1.Insured Subjects
Insured Property:
Project assets during the offshore construction & installation phase.
Liabilities of project owners or contractors arising during execution, including third-party bodily injury or property damage as per local regulations.
Eligible Policyholders: Project developers or oil & gas contractors undertaking offshore construction and field development projects in Vietnam.
2.Scope of Coverage
The insurance policy includes two (02) core coverage sections:
Section I – Physical Loss or Damage
Covers accidental physical loss or damage to project assets during offshore construction and installation activities.
Section II – Third-Party Liability
Covers legal liability of the insured towards third-party injury or property damage arising during the course of offshore construction works.
