Overview
Comprehensive Energy Insurance is a specialized insurance solution designed for the oil and gas energy sector. The program provides full coverage for property and liability risks that may arise during exploration and production (E&P) operations in Vietnam. This insurance plays a critical role in helping Operators manage and mitigate risks, ensure uninterrupted operations, and maintain compliance with the Petroleum Law of Vietnam.
1.Insured Subject
Insured Property:
The Operator's asset cluster, including:
- Drilling and production platforms.
- Pipeline systems.
- Wellheads and production wells.
- Oil/condensate storage vessels.
Eligible Policyholders:
Oil & gas exploration and production companies.
Block operators operating within Vietnam's territorial waters or land.
2.Scope of Coverage
Comprehensive Energy Insurance consists of three core coverage components:
Section I – Physical Loss or Damage
Covers sudden and accidental physical loss or damage to insured energy assets due to insured perils.
Section II – Well Control Insurance
Covers costs related to regaining control of a well, redrilling, and pollution clean-up in the event of a blowout or loss of well control.
Section III – Third-Party Liability
Covers the legal liability of the Operator for bodily injury or property damage to third parties resulting from E&P operations.
