On May 19, 2026, the German Business Association in Vietnam (GBA) held its GBA Business Luncheon at Pan Pacific Hanoi Hotel under the theme “Traveling to Germany in 2026: Visa, Flights & Insurance.” The event brought together representatives from businesses, experts and guests interested in travel, business trips and tourism to Germany in 2026.
At the event, speakers shared practical updates on visa procedures, air connectivity and insurance requirements for journeys to Germany and the Schengen Area. Representing PVI Insurance, Mr. Nguyễn Bá Dũng, Deputy Head of the Aviation and Corporate Customers Department at PVI Insurance Corporation, delivered a presentation titled “Travel Insurance: From Schengen Visa Requirements to Practical Protection.”
In his remarks, Mr. Dũng emphasized that travel insurance is not only a mandatory requirement for Schengen visa applications, but also a practical safeguard against unexpected risks during international journeys, including emergency medical expenses, accidents, lost baggage, flight delays or cancellations, and other unforeseen incidents abroad.
The PVI Insurance representative also shared insights on how to choose a suitable travel insurance plan. He noted that the focus should go beyond meeting visa application requirements, extending to the insurer’s ability to provide timely support when risks occur.
