The first half of 2025 marks an impressive chapter for PVI Insurance Corporation (PVI Insurance), as the company continues to achieve outstanding business results, drive digital transformation initiatives, and secure multiple prestigious international awards—reinforcing its leading position in Vietnam’s non-life insurance market.

PVI Insurance recorded total revenue of VND 14,500 billion in the first six months of 2025, reaching 137.6% of its half-year plan and 73% of its full-year target—representing a 34.6% increase year-on-year. Of this, original insurance premium revenue exceeded VND 8,000 billion, up 13.5% over the same period in 2024, maintaining a market-leading share of 18.8% and firmly securing PVI’s top position in Vietnam’s non-life insurance sector.

International credit rating agency AM Best reaffirmed PVI Insurance’s Financial Strength Rating of A- (Excellent), enhancing the company’s position in reinsurance operations. Reinsurance revenue saw strong growth, in line with a balanced risk appetite and safe, efficient retrocession programs—contributing significantly to the profitability of PVI’s insurance operations. Pre-tax profit in H1 2025 reached VND 674 billion, a 41% increase compared to the same period last year.

In tandem with Vietnam’s evolving economic landscape, PVI Insurance has successfully implemented digital transformation strategies and diversified its sales channels, offering insurance products tailored to market demands. Revenue from e-commerce channels grew by more than 82%, reflecting the company’s agility in meeting modern consumer expectations.

PVI Insurance’s strong focus on enterprise risk management and customer-first claims handling also contributed to its solid market leadership. By providing timely financial support during difficult times, the company has proven to be a trusted partner to its clients.

Social insurance collection activities emerged as a bright spot in H1 2025, with collected premiums reaching VND 1,651 billion—a 56% increase year-on-year. PVI Insurance has successfully integrated technology into the social insurance collection process, making insurance more accessible and convenient for the public through digital platforms.

In addition to business success, PVI Insurance continues to earn recognition on prestigious domestic and international rankings. Alongside the reaffirmed AM Best A- rating, PVI Insurance was the only non-life insurer in Vietnam to receive all three major honors at the Insurance Asia News (Hong Kong) “Country Awards for Excellence 2025”:

Moreover, the company was awarded the “Underwriting Initiative of the Year – Vietnam” by Insurance Asia (Singapore) at the 2025 Insurance Asia Awards.
