PetroVietnam Insurance Joint Stock Corporation (PVI) has been selected into S&P top five holdings in Vietnam which include representatives from consumer discretionary, energy, financials, industrials, information technology, materials and utilities.
"The index will provide international investors with access and tradable exposure to the Vietnamese equity markets," Senior Director Robin Lo of Standard & Poor's Index Services said in a statement.
To be eligible for the inclusion in the S&P Vietnam 10 Index, companies have to meet certain requirements on size, liquidity, tradability and must have a float-adjusted market capitalization above US$50 million and a three-month average daily trading value above US$ 250 thousand.
Mr. Le Van Hung, Chairman of PVI’s Board of Directors, said the good news from the world’s leading credit rating agency in 2008 will greatly assist PVI in finalizing its rating with AMBest and expanding its insurance business overseas. |
